Patient Result 

If you have had any diagnostic tests done either here at the surgery or at another location (eg blood tests, x-rays, smears, ultrasounds scans etc) could you please phone the surgery for the results of your tests. 

For most results allow 2 to 3 days following the tests before phoning the surgery. Please call between 2.00pm and 3.00pm and the nurse will be able to pass the results on to you. 

There are some tests such as smears and skin scrapings where it can take up to 7 to 10 days before the results arrive back at the surgery. 

Due to the Privacy Act we are only able to give results to the patient who underwent the tests. We are unable to give results out to any other family member unless it is for a child under the age of 16 years, or if consent has been given.


Prescription Policy 

We are happy for patients to phone and request a prescription as long as the following criteria are met:

  • You must have seen the doctor within the last 6 months and the doctor is satisfied he does not need to see you at this time.
  • You need to give us 24 hours notice when ordering a prescription.

If there is an outstanding account the prescription will need to be collected from the surgery. Otherwise we can fax the prescription to a pharmacy of your choice or post the prescription directly to your home. 

Faxing and posting prescriptions incurs an additional charge on top of the normal prescription fee. If you use this service an invoice will be posted to you. 

We cannot fax prescriptions directly to our patients as they will not be accepted by the pharmacy. 

The receptionist is able to take prescription requests.
